Gauge/Cluster Mounting Points

BuildI also did a little work on how I would eventually attach the gauge pod and instrument pod.

For the front of the center console I am just gonna rivet some aluminum bar to the body and tap it for the bolts from above. These clecos are just holding the bar in place until I get the console back off and can get washers on the back of the rivets.

The back of the same piece just gets some angle irons milled down to size. They will eventually get riveted to the console on the sides, but not until it's off the car again and the front is done and I can see where the pieces lay.

The gauge cluster is a little weirder. The fiberglass under it is curved to clear the pedals and is different distances from the cover. The left hole is pretty close and will probably only need a thin place riveted to the body (that will be tapped). The right side had a pretty big gap, so I made a pretty big block for it. It will need to get leveled (with washers most likely) once I get access from below. At this point is was late enough that I was starting to get stupid and had to stop using the heavy machinery, so I called it a night.
