Today was all about getting things ready so I can start assembling and glassing the frame tomorrow.

First thing I did was trim the existing glass where it was messy and where it interfered with the new pieces. Following that, I scuffed up the surface (while removing the old carpet glue) with a wire wheel on a drill and then vacuumed it out.
Next up was glassing in the bottom of the stringers. This is probably overkill, but I wanted the bottoms protected from whatever water gets in there and also wanted a practice run with the epoxy system to make sure everything worked correctly. It did.
After that I gave the bottom and edges of the deck a good coating of epoxy.
Then I drilled some holes to expose the wood in the transom and injected as much CPES as I could in there. The wood isn't as bad as the rest of the boat, but I had the CPES and the injector kit (from the Rot Doctor site) and figured it could only help. I will give it another round of injections tomorrow.
Finally, here are some ducks.
